San Jose Construction Group was awarded a contract to renovate the complete interior of Armstrong Elementary School in Reston, Virginia along with adding three separate spaces to accommodate the school’s growth and future capacity needs. Over the next months, the modernization will take place in eight phases, while the premises remain occupied, coordinating the operations to respect the normal functioning of the school. The project includes a redesigned floor plan, expanded classroom wings, upgraded restroom facilities, new music rooms, a renovated gymnasium, and a larger, renovated cafeteria. The planned additions will feature an extended east wing with new and enlarged classrooms, brand-new administration and wellness offices, and a state-of-the-art library with a dedicated video production room. The school grounds will also see exciting improvements, including a permanent outdoor classroom, a new playground, new paved areas, utilities, landscaping, and upgraded basketball courts.
