- The Spanish multinational concludes its presence at Milan Design Week, where it presented its new products at the Salone del Mobile and took part in the Fuorisalone programme.
Milan Design Week once again conquered the streets of the Lombard capital. Seven days, from the 15th to the 21st of April, in which interior design, architecture and design acquired a special dimension. PORCELANOSA Grupo took part in this essential event by participating in the Salone del Mobile and Fuorisalone 2024.
Salone del Mobile 2024, “Where design evolves”
Innovation was the main theme of the Salone del Mobile 2024. An edition which this year had the special focus of the biennial EuroCucina. This concept, based on the evolution of design, perfectly defines the new products exhibited by PORCELANOSA Grupo. The Spanish multinational showed the latest collections by Gamadecor and Noken, with the bathroom and the kitchen as the protagonists.
Gamadecor at EuroCucina 2024
Located in Hall 2 of the Fiera Milano Rho exhibition centre, the firm’s stand had a space of 500 m2. An installation in which Gamadecor included 4 of its most recent kitchen models and a living area. Among them, Smartkitchen, the invisible dual induction hob that combines cutting-edge technology, elegant design and functionality.
In addition, the firm specialising in furniture presented its new finishes in framed and grooved doors. More options that join the different retractable solutions such as the Hawa system for concealing column areas, the high tables that can be extracted from the worktops and the rotating pantry module fittings.
Water as a moulding element in Noken’s new products
For its part, Noken took the fluidity of water as a common thread to showcase its latest products. A leitmotiv, “More than water”, with which the firm specialised in bathroom equipment adapts to any creative barrier, offering a comprehensive service for all types of projects.
Among these novelties was the new version of the Lounge faucet. A design that this year celebrates its 15th anniversary and whose author, Simone Micheli, has reformulated it for the occasion. With a special matt black finish, Lounge Fluid symbolises the energy of this collection through its sober and elegant character.
Along with it, Noken Porcelanosa Bathrooms presented the recently awarded Swan taps and its innovative Wellness technology for bathtubs and showers in the central space of the stand at the Salone del Mobile 2024. An area dedicated to the WaterForest concept, which aims to reduce water consumption, CO2 emissions and environmental impact, and in which the Noken Care system had a special role. Through an experiential installation, the firm showed the great benefits for the skin of the treatments carried out with oxygen microbubbles.
Craftsmanship and natural design converge at Fuorisalone
With the Earthcrafted Designs concept, Porcelanosa emphasised the fusion of natural materials with Spanish design. Earthcrafted Designs concentrated the essence of natural design, highlighting the origin of raw materials and promoting eco-conscious consumption.
Porcelanosa + SACo Craft Exhibition
In homage to craftsmanship and its work in the field of natural design, the firm transformed its showroom in the Brera design district into an art gallery through its collaboration with the Sociedad de Artesanía Contemporánea de España (SACo).
The SACo craftsmanship display in the showcases of the Porcelanosa Milan showroom. The shop windows of the Piazza Castello shop welcomed the creativity and ingenuity of twenty-four renowned contemporary artisans through a selection of works surrounded by the most innovative materials of the Porcelanosa Group firms.
Unique pieces, made from natural fibres, fabrics, glass, porcelain or metal, paying homage to the diversity of craftsmanship and the richness of natural resources.
Workshops and professional meetings
Wrapping up the craftsmanship exhibition, Porcelanosa developed a dynamic programme of activities for professionals and design lovers in its showroom. Visitors had the opportunity to show off their skills in the Blooming Tiles workshop, creating artistic floral compositions on the brand’s ceramic collections.
In addition, the firm’s facilities in Fuorisalone hosted a masterclass on the application of craftsmanship in lighting design, led by the founders of LZF Lamps.
This event was followed by an afterwork meeting, providing an opportunity to connect design and interior design professionals in an atmosphere with a Spanish flavour in collaboration with La Casa Ibérica and San Miguel.
