The Barrett Solar Project is\u00a0<\/span>z<\/span>ero.<\/span>e<\/span>\u2019s<\/span>\u00a0first\u00a0<\/span>utility<\/span>scale<\/span>\u00a0solar\u00a0<\/span>facility<\/span>, with\u00a0<\/span>a capacity of more than 172 MWDC and\u00a0<\/span>an output of 125MWAC<\/span>\u00a0to the electric grid<\/span>. The project is\u00a0<\/span>located<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>on approximately\u00a0<\/span>895 acres<\/span>\u00a0of land in\u00a0<\/span>Rains County, Texas<\/span>, just east of Dallas. Barrett Solar\u00a0<\/span>marks a foundational step in\u00a0<\/span>establishing<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>the company\u2019s<\/span>\u00a0footprint within ERCOT<\/span>, as well as the US energy market<\/span>. Additionally, the project\u00a0<\/span>will supply power to a well-known data center\u00a0<\/span>developer,<\/span>\u00a0through a\u00a0<\/span>secured Power Purchase Agreement (PPA)<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

For\u00a0<\/span>nearly two<\/span>\u00a0years, t<\/span>he\u00a0<\/span>d<\/span>evelopment\u00a0<\/span>t<\/span>eam\u00a0<\/span>worked diligently with\u00a0<\/span>landowners and\u00a0<\/span>community\u00a0<\/span>stakeholders, including supporting\u00a0<\/span>local first responders with upgraded communications and<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>fire<\/span>safety<\/span>\u00a0equipment, training for volunteer departments on PV safety, and hosting<\/span>\u00a0various<\/span>\u00a0community\u00a0<\/span>events<\/span>. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The project\u00a0<\/span>is slated to reach commercial operations in<\/span>\u00a0March 2026.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>z<\/span>ero.<\/span>e<\/span>\u00a0is Grupo Cobra\u2019s renewable energy platform<\/span>\u00a0and has plans to develop, construct, and\u00a0<\/span>operate<\/span>\u00a0solar, wind and battery storage projects throughout North America.\u00a0<\/span>z<\/span>ero.<\/span>e<\/span>\u00a0is slated to begin commercial operations on their next solar facility, Bynum Solar, in April 2026 and is currently evaluating expanding the projects with Battery Energy Storage.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
