As from today, the firm is the sole occupant of the <\/span>20,298 m2<\/span>, <\/span>117 meter-high<\/span> iconic building. <\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Madrid, April 28, 2025<\/span><\/span><\/strong>. Garrigues has <\/span>relocated<\/span> its corporate headquarters to Torres Colon in Madrid. From today, the 700-strong Madrid team will be based at the 20,298 m2, <\/span>117 meter<\/span>-high<\/span> iconic building. After 19 years at Calle Hermosilla 3, the firm\u2019s new address is Plaza de Col\u00f3n, 2. <\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>
<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>
<\/span>Garrigues will be the sole occupant of the building, owned by Mutua Madrile\u00f1a, which has been completely remodeled by architectural firm Luis Vidal. The structural renovation of the building, carried out by engineering firm Calter, has received an award from the Madrid Association of Civil Engineers.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>
<\/span> \u00a0<\/span>
<\/span>The remodeled building incorporates the latest solutions in energy efficiency and sustainable design. <\/span>It holds the LEED Gold certification and is in the process of obtaining the WELL certification, both of which guarantee the highest standards in terms of sustainability, health and well-being.<\/span> Thanks to a system that enables power to be generated on-site, thereby reducing consumption by 60% compared to a conventional building and minimizing CO<\/span><\/span>2<\/span><\/span> emissions to practically zero, it will be the first office building in Spain to be classed as a Nearly Zero-Energy Building (NZEB) in accordance with EU directives. Almost 10% of the energy consumed will be generated in the building itself.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>
