Iberia first acquired SAF for Inditex cargo, which Repsol will supply directly at the Adolfo Su\u00e1rez Madrid-Barajas airport..<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The use of this fuel will\u00a0reduce emissions by more than 80% compared to the mineral kerosene it replaces, so this agreement represents another step in the decarbonisation objectives of the three companies.\u00a0\u00a0 Iberia, Repsol, and Inditex are committed to SAF as a key tool to\u00a0decarbonise\u00a0the aviation sector.<\/p>\n<p>The SAF\u00a0supplied by Repsol is certified and\u00a0complies with the standards of Annex IX Part B of the Renewable Energy Directive 2018\/2001 II of the European Union. \u201cThis new alliance with Iberia and Inditex\u00a0reinforces our commitment to 100% renewable fuels as a lever for the decarbonisation of the transport sector. The first large-scale production of 100% renewable fuels in Cartagena was a milestone in our strategy. This plant, which produces both 100% renewable diesel and sustainable aviation fuels, will allow Repsol to be ready to supply the aviation sector with the SAF it needs to achieve its decarbonisation plans,\u201d pointed out Carlos Su\u00e1rez,\u00a0Repsol\u2019s Director of International Aviation. \u201cSAF is the best and most immediate solution to advance in the decarbonisation of\u00a0aviation.<\/p>\n<p>This agreement with Inditex is part of our commitment to achieve net zero emissions by 2050.
